Manchester City Wasn't Good Club for English Young Player

Thanks to the generosity of Sheikh Mansour, Manchester City turned into a top Premier League clubs are wealthy. Conglomerate from the United Arab Emirates did not hesitate to pour hundreds of millions of pounds to buy a number of star players on behalf of the club's achievements. Not surprisingly, the  City squad now become one of the best squad in the league.

Purchase star players as there is no rupture is on the one hand indeed managed to bring the achievements and raise the prestige of the club. But on the other hand, it also provides an alarming impact. The number of star players who came, Etihad Stadium became a place that is not good for young players, especially those from England.

In 7 years of ownership of Sheikh Mansour, there are some names of young English players who failed to grow with Manchester City. Most of them withered before it develops at the Etihad because they do not get a chance to play that much. Most in the end anchored to the clubs which are under the City capacities, some even gave up his football career.

The first is Nedum Onuoha. Ironically, this is the last player from the academy dropout City itself. He entered the first team in 2004 at a very young age, 17 years. Until the age of 21 years, Onouha get enough playing time, performance was fairly promising. But since the arrival of Sheikh which of course was followed by the arrival of a number of renowned defender, Onouha started excluded from the main venue. Own 20 caps with England U-21 is then released to Sunderland and unfortunately this time, he only played in the Championship along with QPR.

A similar fate experienced by Scott Sinclair. Imported at the age of 23 years because of the brilliant game together Swansea and entered the British squad at the 2012 Olympics, Sinclair predicted will be the mainstay for the City winger. Unfortunately, instead of shining, Sinclair can not be precisely many opportunities with the City, within three years he only played 13 times. Was loaned to West Brom, Sinclair was sold to Aston Villa.

The saddest thing is the story of Michael Johnson that made its debut in 2006 when he was barely 20 years old. Dietmar Hamman said that the game will play Johnson warned Michael Ballack. However, the fate of the other said. The arrival of the top players to Etihad, making it eliminated. Had joint venture Leicester City, Johnson later abandoned and end his career in the productive age, 24 years. Now, the former England Under-19 is actually slam the steering wheel and worked as a real estate agent. His name was only known as a young player who failed joke.

Besides the three names above, there is Micah Richards, Shaun Wright-Philps, and although Adam Johnson -which had felt quite a lot of first team appearances for City in his youth. However, they eventually had to get along with the arrival of a number of big names.

In the transfer market this summer, City again the arrival of talented young players who had already tasted the Three Lions shirt, Raheem Sterling and Patrick Roberts. Both are equally plays as a winger. Roberts even dubbed "Messi of England" because of the ability if the ball and scored the goal that he show in the junior team Fulham. The age is still 18 years old, he had already targeted the top teams Premiere League.

And Sterling, we knew he was carried off City of Liverpool with a dowry worth 49 million pounds. Figures were not a bit of it makes 21-year-old boy as the UK's most expensive player in history. Last season Sterling also won the title of Golden Boy, an award for the best young players who play in Europe because of the appearance of prominent with the Reds.

It seemed no reason to doubt the appearance of both. They are a very talented player and reliable. But as we know, the uneven quality of the core players to reserve and occupied a top-quality players, young players is not impossible will not get proper rations play. After all these fears makes sense, if you look back at what happened to his predecessors.

For now, Manchester City is not a good club for young children English. Not excessive also to guess that the bench Etihad Stadium will become intimate with them. But who knows, these young talents would have a different fate and become anomalies such as Joe Hart. They will be in the first team, scored a lot of goals, assists accounted for repeatedly delivering teams to victory, becoming the best player in the game or even deliver many teams captured many titles. It clearly could have happened. However, if 3 or 5 years from now you see them play with Stoke City, Sunderland or Wigan -then I think, you will not be too surprised.
